Account Manager-Orlando

Altair is looking for Field Sales Professionals to grow Altair’s business by expanding existing business at existing customers as well as adding new customers in strategic metropolitan areas across the United States. Altair’s vision is to radically change the way organizations design products and make decisions. You will be part of a team that fulfills this vision via simulation, predictive analytics, and optimization leveraging high performance computing.

Your primary responsibilities will be to initiate software and services business with companies that are currently not Altair’s customers as well as uncovering new business opportunities within existing accounts. You will be part of the sales team reporting to the Regional Managing Director.

Note: There are multiple Account Manager positions available in the following territories:

San Francisco, CA - Phoenix, AZ - Seattle, WA - Salt Lake City, UT - St. Louis, MS – Minneapolis, MN – Atlanta, GA – Washington, DC - Orlando, FL

Responsibilities:

Identify prospective companies and connecting with the right decision makers
Identify new opportunities within existing accounts
Learn and understand of individual prospects, customer goals and challenges
Work with field technical team to deliver solutions specific to each prospect and customer
Demonstrate value of Altair’s solution, negotiate and close business

Skills and Experience required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related
3-5 years of Technical Sales experience
Previous experience building customer relationships
Ability to leverage skills and knowledge of people around you
Understand and strategize based on the competitive landscape
Highly effective with web, professional social media and sales tools
Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation
Willing to travel
Technically astute
Good business acumen and people judgment
Government contracts require U.S. Citizens only
